At this point in my career and life, I’m most thankful and proud that I’ve been happily married for over 30 years and that my husband and I raised two humans who are kind, smart, funny, and beautiful inside and out. In some ways, my personal life fuels my passion to help others through the most difficult times of their lives.
I’ve practiced family law in Colorado since 1998, and have been in Garfield County since 2002. My approach to cases is practical and solution oriented.
Our fantastic team provides competent, compassionate assistance, while building our clients’ empowerment to make good decisions for themselves and their children.
I was raised in a small town in Kansas by parents who were unable to attend college, but displayed an amazing work ethic and unending love and commitment to our family.
My family calls me “Nature Mom”, a nickname earned from countless hours in the outdoors seeking out all kinds of flora and fauna.
The current chapter of my professional life involves growing our firm so that we can assist more families on Colorado’s Western Slope. I am passionate about the legal profession’s ethical responsibilities, and am enjoying my challenging new role on the Colorado Supreme Court Legal Regulation Committee. Angela and I enjoy an extraordinary partnership that fulfills us both professionally and personally. I am ecstatic to be working with Somer and Gen, who are an amazing support to me and our clients.
