My name is Gennessy Edwards (but you can call me Gen), and I am a long time local in the valley, and the paralegal in the office at Hays Genera PC. I am currently completing the training requirements to become a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional, with the goal of providing quality, affordable legal representation to families in the valley as they navigate their domestic relations cases.
Before becoming a paralegal, I was a clerk for the 9th Judicial District, serving under a District Court Judge. During my time with the courts, I was the designated Domestic Relations Clerk for our local courthouse, and in that role, I discovered the great need for legal help in our rural community. I found my passion for helping families find closure in resolution and witnessing them make room for new chapters in their lives.
The human element is my favorite part of my job; my mission is to find the best way to support our clients as they navigate their court cases through diligent communication, integrity, and discretion. I love seeing disputes resolve, and want to help you get through the process, so you can move forward with your life!
In my personal time, I love photography and art, and am always inspired by the vast wilderness, majestic wildlife, and beautiful nature here on the western slope. I love kayak fishing with my husband, and enjoy supporting the performing arts here in our community.
